Using YapJar

YapJar lets you record short voice memos, transcribe them on-device, and keep them in a personal reverse-chronological feed. You agree to use YapJar lawfully and to only record content you have the right to record.

Your Account

You are responsible for activity on your account and for keeping your sign-in method secure. If you believe your account has been accessed without permission, contact support immediately.

Your Content

You own your yaps — the transcripts, summaries, and tags created from your voice memos. We store them on your behalf so you can access them across sessions. You can delete any entry, or your entire account, at any time.

AI-generated summaries and tags are produced by Anthropic's Claude model and may occasionally be inaccurate or miss nuance. The raw transcript is always preserved alongside them.

Subscriptions

YapJar offers a free tier and an optional paid subscription, billed through the Apple App Store. Subscriptions auto-renew until cancelled in your iPhone's Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions. Apple handles billing, renewals, and refunds; see our support page for help.

Acceptable Use

Don't abuse the service, attempt to access other accounts or systems without permission, upload harmful or illegal content, reverse-engineer the app's security, or use YapJar in a way that violates law or the rights of others.

Availability and Changes

YapJar is actively developed. Features may change, break, or be removed, and access may be limited during maintenance or rollouts. We may update these terms; material changes will be posted here with a new effective date.

YapJar is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, to the extent permitted by law.
